    • 3/4 cup dried cranberries

    • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

    blank

    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

    • 1–2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

    2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

    3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

    4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and fresh orange juice. Beat until well combined.

    5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

    6. Fold in the dried cranberries and, if using, the white chocolate chips.

    7. Scoop 1 1/2-tablespoon-sized balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.

    8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers will appear soft but will firm as they cool.

    9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

    10. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with orange juice until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cookies.

    Suggerimenti per la cottura

    Chef's Recommendation

"A sharp knife is your best friend in the kitchen. For recipes like this, I always reach for my Chikashi chef knife - it gives me the control and precision I need for perfect results every time."
Chef's Note: A sharp knife not only makes prep work faster but also safer - dull knives require more pressure and are more likely to slip.
